Street Strangers

To ‘wing it’ is to dabble with many variables in an unforeseen situation. It can feel akin to going down a helter skelter slide head first. To ask and sometimes coax another person to join in raises the stakes of the plight, throwing the consequential net wider.

I use this ongoing series as a means to interact with people whom I walk by on the street on any given day. To create an impromptu collaboration between myself and the subject in the environment and attire they were approached in.

The multitude of reactions shape the photograph as much as the technicality of making the portrait on the spot.
